What a day! It started off so miserable (headache, upset stomach- like a hangover without the previous nights fun) but much too many tylenol later, I took the girls to see the Earth Rangers with our homeschooling group. A wonderful organization- both the homeschooling group and Earth Rangers. Libby and Kes had a blast, and may even have learned something.
Then [...]

Here it is, the finished touch of whimsy scarf:
I’m very pleased with it. Not only was it my first time knitting lace, it was also my first time using wool… I will never go back! I love wool- I love the way it feels to knit, I love the way it looks, and I even [...]

Oi! I have been so busy with children and work and life, that I have not blogged in months! I won’t bother with apologies, I’ll just get back to it.
So much has happened, and yet it is all so insignificant in the broad scheme of things. I received the instructions for the Knitting Guild of [...]
Better days…

Oh what a nasty post I did last time. I apologize to anyone who read it- I’m doing much better today, and promise to refrain from pouring out such drival in the future.
First: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet little Kesara! She turned 2 yesterday. The day was pretty quiet- just her sister and I mostly- [...]
I gotta get out of here!

I’m jealous. I’m jealous of all the knitter/bloggers with beautiful pictures on their blogs of the outdoors, of their adorable children playing in the wide open spaces… These lucky folks live where there is room to store yarn stashes and learn to dye, and where their children can run around outside where they aren’t bugging their mom [...]
the good, the bad, and the tired…

the tired: Another sleepless night. I’ve been up since 2ish, and while the offspring is finally back to sleep, there isn’t much point in going to bed myself since I have to get my other daughter up for school in 1/2 and hour. I’m terribly worried that this is just becoming a habit for Kes….

My sick, sick family!

I don’t mean like perverted sick (well, maybe my hubby, but that’s not really appropriate here). I mean coughing, sneezing, sniffing sick. My poor, poor little girl has it the worst (although i think I’m running a close 2nd, since I’m sick and I have to take care of her at 4 in the AM). [...]
Something else beautiful…

This is my other something beautiful; my baby Kesara. She was my reward after 3 miscarriages and alot of struggles. She is full of mischief, and typically toddler-stubborn. But she loves to give and get kisses and hugs, and sing songs and twirl with her sister. She’s still so young, that I don’t really have [...]
Something Beautiful…

I’ve decided that I need to start looking at the positives in my life (cuz lately life feels like it sucks) so today I’ve put a picture of one the most beautiful things in my life. This is my adorable, funny, puckish seven year old daughter, Libby. Full name Liberty-ann. Isn’t she amazing? I’m very, very [...]

I guess it takes a bit of work to get used to blogging. I really want to do it, but life keeps interupting.. damn life! The journal I work for is about to go to press so I’ve been super busy on that, and the baby and I have been so sick…
But I was jolted [...]
